This is the first week of doing this project in my current home. I’m still figuring things out, but we can only go up from here, right?
If you dove into the archives of the last time that I did this project, you’ll notice I had laid out rules for myself; I don’t think I’ll be doing that this time. The last time I did this it slowly became like a compulsion, where I’d plan out my day in relation to outfit changes and photographing them, which added time to any task or activity. This time around I will photograph how I look when I start my day, and let that be enough (unless I want to photograph a change). I also want to let the photographs do most of the talking/heavy lifting, so I’ll just include a few observations on the latest week’s outfits below the images.
Without further ado, here’s Week One:
Observations of my dress habits this week:
- Comfort is key, like most of my dressing, but I’m leaning more towards looser and baggier clothes.
- Getting dressed in pants and a top help tell my brain “okay, it’s work time” while I adjust to working from home.
- As the week progressed, I found myself trying to look a bit more polished/put together for that day’s photograph.
